I've been wanting to do some sort of ajuice cleanse slash fast for a while nowand I thought you know what why don't Ijust show you guys what I'm doing andyou can follow along on my journey andmaybe you'll want to try it afterwards Iwent to the store this morning is brandcalled Suja was on sale at Publix buyone get one so I was like okay maybe nowis the time to try it I have beendabbling in these juices they're kind ofexpensive and for it to be a buy one getone was a steal so I was like okay timeto do it now I'm gonna do a 3 daycleanse and these are all the juices Iam going to drink there are some hugehealth benefits to juicing so the firstone is to detox your body when we'reeating a lot of food we spend about 1/3of our day digesting food now that's alot of energy that our body is usingjust to digest food so juicing is easierto digest because there's no pulp it'sjust the juice so your stomach canabsorb it faster so you're spending lesstime I'm digesting so some healthbenefits that come from that are detoxyour body can spend its energy onremoving toxins from your body thesecond thing is energy you're gonna getsome back because you're not gonna bespending 1/3 of your time digesting yourfood so your body can remove toxins youwill get that energy back I have heardfor years that you should not eat a fewhours before bed when your body usesenergy to digest food when you'resleeping that's less time your body canrecuperate and rest you don't want yourbody to have to digest while you'resleeping this way you'll be able to geta better night's sleep and then if youhad eaten before you go to bed and thelast benefit that I'm really lookingforward to is an appetite reset torefocus and to get back on track intoeating healthier things and so when I'mputting healthy things into my body mybody will continue to crave that and I'mhoping that when the juice cleanse isdone I'll continue eating the healthyfoods that my body Krisand I won't be craving the sugar that Inormally eat I'm gonna take a gingerlemon cayenne shot every morning andthen I'm going to drink 20 ounces ofwater and then I'm going to go throughmy juices and these are essentially mymeals so I'm going to be drinking myjuices within a 12 hour period so everytwo hours I'll have another juice now Istarted out with the lighter the greenerthe healthier stuff and I'm going alittle bit heavier by the end becausethese have more sugars in them they havethe berries so this way I can pushthrough the hard stuff and end with areward at the end of the day you'll wantto drink about four to five of these aday in between the juices let's do itlet's do the ginger lemon shot ready onetwo threeoh my mouth is on firewhole I was not prepared for that hmmhuh I made it myself what I did is Itook about this size of ginger I tooklemons and I squeezed them and I had thesmall lemon so I used about five lemonswhich would equal maybe one large lemonmaybe one and a half large lemons andthen I put cayenne pepper in it soginger lemon juice and cayenne pepperand I just blended it up strained it outand boy is it strong[Music]all right I'm halfway through day oneand not a lot of hunger pains anytime Ireally feel hunger pains it's time formy next juice and that really satisfiesanything that's going on I'm doing waterin between and the only difference Inoticed right now is I have to use therestroom a lot more than I normally dobecause hello I'm adjusting only liquids[Music]day one done alright it's end of day oneand I'm feeling pretty goodand as I detract meet with my son andeverybody around me was eating it wasreally hard not to have something in mymouth to be chewing or to eat anythingduring that time so that's been thehardest part of the day was to pushthrough because normally I would havegiven up by dinnertime but I'm reallyproud of myself I pushed through sohere's to tomorrow[Music]so it's start of day two uh this morningwas really really really difficult Ithink it was because I was sleeping so Iwasn't drinking anything for a longperiod of time so it was like I had ahuge headache that started last nightand it carried over into this morningand I was just really tired I didn'twant to get out of bed I'm still reallytired I wish I could take a nap and myfirst drink of the day is kind of spicyand my second drink of the day is reallygreen so there's nothing really to lookforward to so I was I really reallywanted to give up this morning but Ipushed through the first drink I drank aton of water I did my ginger shot and Iwas like well let me get through takingthe kids to school and then I'll have mysecond drink and we'll see how I'mfeeling then and I'm starting to feelbetterum I still have a headachebut my my will to keep going is a littlebit strongerum one positive thing that I noticedthis morning when I looked at myself inthe mirror I was like whoa my skin looksamazingand I think it's just because of theamount of hydration the amount of waterthat I'm drinking plus the hydrationfrom the juice like my face was glowingand normally when I wake up my face isswollenand dead looking like pale it's notpretty in the morning and like you cansee sleep lines or like my dark circlesbut I had none of that this morning Ilooked amazing it was like whoa I couldgo without makeup all day my skin isgreat now I don't know if that's becauseof what's going on but tomorrow we'llsee how my skin is doing again but I'mfeeling really great about that responseI'm gonna up my water intake I alwaysheard that drinking a ton of water helpsyour skin and I thought I was drinkingenough water but obviously I'm notdrinking enough[Music]good mining it is day 3 and I am feelingawesome this morning did not feeldifficult at all I felt like I couldkeep going for another five days thismorningI had really great energy my eyes lookat my eyes look at how blue blue andclear they are I have a lot of allergiesso usually there's a lot of stuff goingon in my eyes I just I feel really goodoverall and one big thing that I'mtaking away from this is that I can bemore intentional about what foods to putin my body now because I don't want tohave to go through this again it wasreally torturous to get to this point Idon't want to have to do it because Ihave bad eating habit all right I'mpushing through the rest of the dayI made it there were some days where Ididn't think I would but I did so I'mgonna address the positives and thenegative the first benefit was detoxingwe spend a lot of our time digestingfood and I did notice a difference in myphysical appearance as well as mydigestion I didn't have a lot ofbloating and bubbles and I felt reallylight because obviously I'm not eating alot of heavy foods so I felt reallygreatsecond one is getting more energy I feltlike the energy I normally have justextended so instead of like drinkingcoffee in the morning to bring me up Ididn't need it in the morning my energywas constant throughout the whole day sothat was really great but I didn't feelfatigue or anything which I thought Iwould but I didn't so my energy levelswere up third one is better sleep now Idon't know if I got better sleep or notbut I do know that it was easier to getup in the morning day to morning wasreally really hardI felt like my stomach was in so muchpain it was like cramping but I think itwas just super dehydrated because Ihadn't had anything to drink during thefirst night and my body wasn't used tonot having food in it so day to morningwas like torture I still wanted to giveup it was crazy day two was my wall andonce I got past that wall at about noonon Tuesday I was on cloud nine it wasfantastic I didn't really feel hungerpains I definitely know that my stomachshrank because my first meal was tinytiny it was like half a cup of rice 1/2a cup of broccoli half a cup of grilledchicken and I felt like stuffed I didnot need any more food and one thingthat I really really appreciate aboutthis reset is while I was on the cleanseI definitely was more aware of my bodyyou're not as hungry as you need to be Iweigh over eat so I was very well awareof how much my body actually needed tosurvive eat to survivesurvive to eat so I knew I'd be able toresize my portions after this juicecleanse and it's been amazing it made mevery aware of what things I wanted toput into my body I didn't want to putall this crap that I had essentiallyeliminated from my diet I only wantedthe healthy things I'm not gonna lie toyouit was torture to push through that wallit was really really hard I wanted togive up so many times but I knew I hadto do it because it was either do thator just keep gaining weight and keep thebad eating habits and I didn't want togo there I want to be the healthy personI want to feel good I don't want to feelcrappy anymore I'm really grateful I didit well I do it again in the next year Idon't think sothis process has really helped me figurethat out for myself my eyes got superblue and
